In December, we took a field trip to the University of Maryland's Biotechnology Institute where we studied developmental biology in the zebra fish. The students did a great job at documenting embryonic development through the 2 hour laboratory. In addition, the students were able to observe and hold some amphibians and reptiles that are indigenous to the Maryland region. After we finished our laboratory work, we all regrouped at Fuddruckers for lunch. All in all, the trip was a blast!
